Travelers Aid Family Services of Philadelphia

Travelers Aid Family Services of Philadelphia has long served as a community leader in identifying and addressing the needs of impoverished, at-risk persons and families. Founded in 1901, Travelers Aid of Philadelphia provides professional counseling, emergency shelter, housing, direct assistance, and children and youth services to homeless families and stranded travelers in Philadelphia. Travelers Aid Family Services of Philadelphia's mission is to break the generational cycle of homelessness by enriching the lives of children and supporting their efforts at self-sufficiency. In the past year, Travelers Aid provided hope and confidence to 278 homeless Philadelphia families, including 834 children, and assisted 1,413 stranded travelers including 235 children.
